The Biblical Theology Briefings have four editors who share a common passion about the need for biblical theology to have a direct impact on preaching. The initial idea was born in July 2002 and existed in various forms that we batted around before it arrived in the form you see now. Our ages mean that we're all novice preachers which is why you won't read much of our own stuff on here. Although we may be so bold as to venture theological thoughts at times, our role as Editors is primarily to check that the contributions we receive fit the kind of finished article that we've envisioned for the site.

As we played with the idea of this project, we approached a few older and wiser heads to get their advice and correcting guidance. The Advisors have both shaped and share our convictions about biblical theology in the pulpit and their role is to keep a watchful eye on the project's developing shape and direction, to read the occasional Briefing for theological comment, and to suggest general improvements.
