From Creation to New Creation - Understanding the Bible Story. Tim Chester

(Paternoster Press, 2003)

Large parts of the Bible are unfamiliar territory for many people. We're not sure what to make of them, still less how to live by them. From Creation to New Creation gives us a route map. By tracing the unfolding promises of God, it enables us to make sense of the Bible story. The result is a book that not only shows us how to understand the Bible as a whole, but also how it continues to speak to people in the twenty-first century. There does seem to be a proliferation of bible overview books and courses these days but this is a good thing as it's probably fair to say that good bible overview-shaped preaching is still not in the ascendancy in our pulpits ... so the more contributions the better. And this is a good one.
